Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), New Delhi has released its prospectus for admissions for 2022-23 academic session. The application forms for the admissions will be available online from April 14 at www.jmicoe.in, www.jmi.ac.in. The applications will be accepted until May 12, according to the official notification. The university will admit students through national-level admission tests.
Admission to engineering, architecture and dentistry programs is based on JEE, NATA and NEET respectively. Students are admitted to some of the university’s other undergraduate courses through the newly introduced CUET. For the rest of the courses, admission is through Jamia’s entrance exam, which will be held on June 2.
Admission of eligible candidates into all programs offered by various faculties and centers of Jamia Millia Islamia is made through merit determined on the basis of an admission test conducted by JMI, except BTech, BArch, BDS and courses.
Applicants who obtain less than 30% marks in the descriptive part of the admission test, where applicable, will not be shortlisted for interview and admission. There will be a negative 0.25 mark for each wrong answer in the Objective Type/Multiple Choice Questions in all university programs. Candidates achieving less than 15% on Objective Type/Multiple Choice Questions will not be shortlisted for interview/admission.
Candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs 700 but for BTech and BArch courses the fee is Rs 550. The application fee once successfully received at the end of JMI is non-refundable as per the rules.
“There is no guarantee of hostel accommodation as the university has limited student housing facilities. The students staying at the University Hostel must strictly adhere to the rules of the hostel i.e. daily end time to enter the hostel etc. official notice.
