Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) released a revised schedule on Saturday for its undergraduate and graduate degree admissions tests, with exams commencing the second week of June. Admission tests for non-CUET courses were to begin on June 2. However, according to the new notification, the admission tests will start on June 11.
“The Vice Chancellor (Najma Akhtar) has very kindly agreed to reschedule the dates of admission tests… in view of extending the last date of filling the CUET form and the ongoing regular examination of CBSE The university said in the notice alongside the revised dates for the entrance exams. According to the notification, the 126 entrance exams for various graduate and postgraduate courses will be taken in nearly a month. The tests will be completed on July 8. The JMI Friday extended the last date for submitting online application forms for all graduate and postgraduate courses to May 25.
May 13 was previously the last date for submission of the admission forms. Last month, JMI released its admission prospectus, saying that online admission forms will be available from April 14. The university had previously announced that admission to 10 courses will be through the CUET.
