The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has again extended the deadline for new and re-registration applications for its online and online distance learning (ODL) programs. As per the latest updates, until March 27, candidates can fill the IGNOU session for January 2023 by visiting the official website at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
Previously, IGNOU announced that March 10 would be the registration deadline, which was later pushed back to March 20. But now the final date has been postponed by another seven days. “Last date extension for new admission and re-registration for January 2023 cycle for all programs (except certificate and semester based programs) for both online and ODL mode until March 27, 23,” the official handle of IGNOU tweeted.
Candidates must pay a late registration fee of Rs 200 if they fail to register before the deadline. Therefore, students must adhere to the timetable set by the authorities. IGNOU has also allowed the facility for a tuition waiver for SC or ST students in a single degree program. Thus, candidates who submit more than one application to claim fee waivers should expect their application form to be rejected by the university.
IGNOU January 2023 Session: How to Apply
Step 1: Go to the official IGNOU portal at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
Step 2: Find and click on the “New registration” link on the homepage.
Step 3: Fill in the required registration information.
Step 4: Make the necessary payment and submit the form as requested.
Step 5: Save and download the confirmation page
Step 6: Keep a hard copy of the IGNOU 2023 Application Form for future reference.
Candidates must have a set of scanned copies of mandatory documents ready while applying for the January 2023 IGNOU session. The list of required documents is a photograph and signature of the candidate, Class 10 Mark Sheet or Birth Certificate for date of birth proof, Education Qualification Certificates , experience certificates, category certificates (if required) and BPL certificates (if required).
