JEE Advanced 2022 has been rescheduled. The IIT entrance was scheduled for July 3rd and will now be held on August 28th. The IIT entrance has been postponed after the JEE Main 2022 dates were changed. Since the JEE Main session 2 now ends on July 31, JEE Advanced had to be pushed to a later date. Only those who clear JEE Main and are in the top 2.5 lakh are eligible to take JEE Advanced.
According to the revised schedule, JEE Advanced 2022 will be held in two shifts on August 28. Paper 1 will take place from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and Paper 2 from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The registration process also starts on August 7 and ends on August 11. The result for IIT entry will be announced on September 11.

Not only those who passed JEE Main 2022, but students who were eligible to appear for the IIT entry – JEE advanced – in 2020 or 2021 are also eligible to take the exam this year.
Given the prevailing pandemic situation due to COVID-19 in India and abroad, the Joint Admission Board (JAB) has decided not to conduct the JEE Advanced 2022 in foreign centers/countries. However, the foreign candidates can appear for the JEE Advanced 2022 exam at an Indian center at their own expense, the official message said.
Through JEE (Advanced), IITs provide access to undergraduate courses leading to a bachelor’s degree, integrated master’s degree, bachelor’s degree master’s degree dual degree in engineering, science, or architecture.
IITs also offer redundant seats created for female candidates for improving the gender balance in the IITs of undergraduate programs. The number of excess seats in various programs is determined by individual IITs, ensuring that each institution has at least 20 percent female enrollments in undergraduate programs.
Candidates who are not citizens of India, OCI/PIO cardholders will be treated as foreigners. The seats allocated to such foreign candidates are redundant with a maximum of 10 percent of the total number of seats in each study programme.
