The JEE Head 2022 the first session takes place in April and the second in May. With such short notice along with offline exams, technical admission candidates have demanded postponement of the exams. Some students have also demanded four attempts on the national-level admission test, while others require more time between lectures and the entrance exam. Many others disagree with the last minute change to introduce a negative mark for Section B.
Here is a list of the main requirements of students who want to pass the engineering entrance exam. Those who clear JEE are eligible for admission to Engineering and Architecture courses (for Paper 2). Top 2.5 lakh students are also eligible to appear for the IIT Entrance Exam – JEE Advanced. Every year, about 15 lakh students take the entrance exam.
Small gap between shelves and JEE Main
While JEE Main Session 1 will be held from April 16 to 21, Session 2 will be from May 24 to 29. In addition, the CBSE board exams begin on April 26. Most state governments also have their 10th and 12th exams scheduled during this time. Several JEE Main aspirants took to social media platforms to demand a postponement of the exams and asked NTA to hold the first session in May as they have little or no time to prepare due to one exam after another.

Sir, please make the first attempt in May. I’m not asking, I’m just fighting for my right. Exams are delayed due to elections. Is this our fault? And then you also reduced the attempts and the gap..our future is game? Which one do you play?#JEEMain2022@dpradhanbjp† (@OmSingh39755002) March 3, 2022
Students demand four sessions
This year, the exam pattern for JEE Main 2022 has been restored to its original format. Last year, the exam was administered in four sessions. Therefore, the students pointed out that with offline exams and practical assessments, two attempts at technical admission may not be enough.
Claiming this batch has seen as much disruption as last year, with most classes online and coaching institutes operating with limited capacity, the easing of having four sessions should also be extended to the current batch, students demand.
No negative marking for section B
JEE Main 2022 papers will have two sections: A and B. Section will have multiple choice questions and section B will consist of numerical questions. For each correct answer, candidates are awarded four points, while one number is deducted for each incorrect answer. Previously, students were given a zero for the wrong answer. The introduction of negative marking can affect the grades of the students.
We have ongoing preboards, CBS practicals through the end of March. Then we have board exams in April. Now nta has placed one jee main attempt directly before boards and possibly after boards. Then we got more negative marks. One word: WHY? #NTAjawabdo #jeemains2022 #JEEMAin #JEEMain2022— Thatguy (@chirayuXD) March 2, 2022
