Instead of starting from June 20, the JEE Main session 1 technical entrance exam will now start from June 23. The exam dates have changed slightly and the JEE Main 2022 session 1 will be held on June 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, and 29. Previously, the dates were set from June 20 to 29. The new data was revealed in the latest release from the National Testing Agency (NTA).
The NTA has also released declaration letters. This is issued at a time when students were waiting for their admission card. The convocation letter contains details of the city and exam center, but they cannot be used as entrance tickets. While the NTA has yet to reveal the exact ticket release date, it is expected to be released on June 17.

The engineering entrance exam is held at various centers in 501 cities across the country and 22 cities outside of India. It is the first time since the pandemic that the exam is being conducted in foreign locations.
“The candidates are required to check/download their Examination City Intimation slip of JEE (Main) – 2022 Session 1 (using their application number and date of birth) from jeemain.nta.nic.in. The candidates can kindly note that this is not the admission card for JEE (Main) – 2022 Session 1. This is prior information for the allotment of the city where the exam center will be located, to facilitate the candidates. The JEE Main 2022 session 1 admission card will be issued late,” the official message reads.
Apart from the official website, JEE Main 2022 admission cards will also be available from UMANG and DigiLocker. It is mandatory for candidates to bring an admission ticket along with a self-declaration (commitment) downloaded from the NTA
Website. The claim sheet was introduced after the pandemic to ensure that the student is in good health. The choice of exam cities to be shown to the candidates is based on the permanent and correspondence addresses filled during the JEE Main 2022 online application form, according to the rules.
