JEE Main 2023: The explanations for all candidates who were found with duplicate credentials and images are currently under investigation. Candidates who have clarified their position will be given the admission cards
The National Testing Agency (NTA), which began the session one exam for JEE Main 2023 on January 24, has issued admission cards from candidates who were on hold due to a “duplicate references” issue. However, for some students, the agency has held back the hall tickets after discovering “duplicate credentials and images.”
NTA took to social media and posted a tweet saying that admission cards for “some” candidates have only been issued after close scrutiny. “The images on duplicate credentials/images are being examined and entry tickets have been issued for some candidates. Others will be released after due diligence,” NTA tweeted.
The images on duplicate credentials/images are being examined and entry tickets have been issued for some candidates. Others will be released after careful investigation. Examination of other eligible candidates will take place between January 28 and February 1, 2023 #JEMAIN2023— National Testing Agency (@DG_NTA) January 24, 2023
The representations of all candidates found with duplicate credentials and images are currently under investigation. Candidates who have clarified their positions will be issued the admission cards for the JEE Main 2023 examination. Further in its post, the Agency has also announced the JEE Main 2023 January session exam dates for applicants who have been considered. According to the schedule, the exams for these candidates will now take place between January 28, 2023 and February 1, 2023.
On January 23, NTA issued an official statement placing the candidacy of such candidates who filled multiple Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) application forms on hold while being examined. The agency also informed these candidates to clarify their job status with a warranted statement. NTA had previously indicated that they would allow the candidates to appear for the exams shortly after their identities have been verified by the concerned department.
The JEE Main 2023 Session 1 exam is currently underway. The first session of the JEE Main exam started on January 24 and ends on January 31, with the exception of Republic Day (January 26). The exam is taken in two shifts; first from 9am to 12pm and the second from 3pm to 6pm.
NTA conducts the JEE Main exam in 13 languages including English, Hindi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Assamese, Bengali, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. The JEE Main exam is conducted at various centers across the country. The JEE Main Session 2 is scheduled for April this year.
