JEE Mains 2025 Session 1: The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 has officially started today i.e. on January 22. As the first session of Shift 1 ended, several candidates shared their experiences and views on the difficulty of the exam. Candidates from the first shift appeared for the Engineering (BE/BTech, Paper 1) exam.
JEE Mains shift 1 timings
The JEE Main Session 1 exam is conducted in 2 shifts. The exam time for shift 1 is from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, while the second shift exams start from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
JEE Main 2025 Session 1: Students' Responses to the Difficulty Level of the Shift 1 Exam
A candidate from Patna's Pataliputra, Abhinav Raj, said the paper was moderate in difficulty although he found chemistry particularly tough.
“My paper went well. It was a moderate newspaper. Chemistry was a bit difficult but Mathematics and Physics were of medium difficulty,” said Raj, quoted by Hindustani times.
A candidate from Haryana's Panchkula, Mansi, found the Mathematics section of the JEE Main 2025 exam 'challenging and lengthy' while saying, “the Physics and Chemistry sections were easier,” she said, as quoted by HT report.
Another candidate from Panchkula named Shakshi described the Mathematics section as difficult. She said, “Arithmetic had a good weightage, physics was moderate and chemistry was easy. Organic chemistry was not that prevalent, compared to inorganic chemistry,” she said, quoted by HT.
JEE Main Session 1 Shift 1 exam moved to Bengaluru
The NTA has also issued a notification informing that the JEE Main Session 1 Shift 1 exam for 114 candidates in Bengaluru has been rescheduled due to technical issues. The NTA also gave a new date for the same exam.
According to the notification: “Due to unavoidable reason of technical problem in Examination CentreeTalent, (TC Code-40086), No. 3, Belmar Estate, Nagasandra Main Rd, Amaravathi Layout, Nagara Bavi, Nalagadderanahalli, Peenya Bengaluru, Karnataka, during conduct of JEE (Main)-2025 Session-I (Shift-I) Exam on On January 22, 2025 the exam will be for 114 affected candidates and will take place on January 28/29, 2025. These candidates will receive new admit cards along with other candidates who will appear on the above dates.
