In stark contrast to the forecasts, the Jharkhand administration has achieved positive results. A whopping 95.60% of the students who registered for the exam managed to crack it. Although it is a slight decrease from last year when 95.93% of students passed, it is still an increase from the pre-pandemic level. In 2020 75.07% and in 2019 no less than 70.81% of the students passed the exams. The success rate in 2018 was 59.56%.
In contrast, boys scored better than girls. Usually it’s the girls who score better than boys, as happened not only in the results of JAC last year, but also in other boards, girls score better than boys. This year 95.71% of boys passed exams, while the pass rate for girls is 95.50%.
Despite their good performance, the students were unable to get their results as the Jharkhand Board websites kept showing errors. For JAC-matric 2022, a total of 3,99,920 students had registered for the Jharkhand Board Madhyamik exams. Of these, 3,91,100 took the exam. Among them, no fewer than 3,73,892 students passed the exam. Most students have second class – 1.24 lakh. No fewer than 25845 students became first and 23524 students became third class. In grade 12 science, the pass rate has increased to 91.43%. No fewer than 54768 came first, 5117 came second and only 13 got third class.
For class 12 science students. This was one of the best results in recent times as 92.19% of the students who took the exam passed the exam. This was a jump from 2021 when 86.89% of students passed. Almost double in 2020 when 58.99% and in 2019 when 57% of students passed. This has happened despite the pandemic-led school closure.
