The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the deadline 2 datasheet for class 12 board exams 2022. The exams start on April 26 and last until mid-June. The board exams last a little more than a month, which has generated a lot of responses from CBSE. While some appreciated the long and “necessary” pauses between two subjects, others called it an unnecessary delay.
Furthermore, the exams start within less than a week of the Engineering Entrance Exam – JEE Mains 2022 Session 1 ends on April 21. In addition, the second session will be held from May 24 to 29, which clashes with some CBSE board exams. This makes the technical entrance exam sandwiched between the boards. Many students argue that in a pandemic year that would be too much to take that too.
CBSE claims that the gap between subjects is given for better and convenient preparations. The subjects with fewer preparation days were kept at the end to have more preparation time. It also added that other competitive exams such as JEE Main have been “taken care of” while preparing the datesheet.
However, some of the students are demanding the cancellation of the offline exams and also postponement of the JEE Mains. “CBSE XIIth board term 2 and #jeemains2022 collide! How will the students prepare and appear? Also, only 2 sessions of JEE Mains are allowed this year! JEE Mains session 2 should be postponed by 30,” wrote one Twitter user.
#CBSE has gone mad, Board until mid-June, as if we have no life after class 12th. Exam dates clash with CA Foundation Exams and many others. Cub #cbseexams #Students— Anant Jain (@Anant_J23) March 11, 2022

“As schools were closed due to the pandemic that has led to learning loss, there is therefore more space between exams in almost all subjects,” CBSE said.
These are the second board exams to be held for the current batch. To make exams, the low stakes board has decided to divide them into two sections – part 1 and part 2. The part 1 or term 1 exams have been held and their results will be announced shortly. Term 2 exams will be held amid strict covid-19 precautions, wearing maks will be a must for students.
