The Madhya Pradesh Board School Education (MPBSE) has commenced the registration process for grade 9 admission in model schools across the state. Students are selected through an admission test. Those who have passed grade 8 or are studying in grade 8 and are willing to be admitted to model schools for grade 9, can apply by visiting the official website – mponline.gov.in. The last application date is January 31.
The MP Model School 9th Admission 2022 Entrance Exam will be held on March 13. To apply, students are also required to deposit the application fee of Rs 100. Apart from this, students can edit their application forms between February 1 and 5. There are as many as 52 excellent schools and 201 model schools in the state.

Meanwhile, schools in MP have been closed due to the increasing cases of the Covid-19 pandemic until January 31. Prime Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had previously held a review meeting after which it was decided to close schools in the state. Classes 1 to 12 have been shut down for physical classes and have now opted for online classes.
The board exams for the 10th and 12th grade students scheduled to start on February 12 have been shifted to take-home mode. This means that students have to attempt exams while sitting at their respective homes. They don’t have to go to an exam center.

Due to the pandemic, the exam pattern for board exams has also changed. The questionnaire of both classes will contain 40 percent objective questions, 40 percent subjective and 20 percent analytical questions. In the past, only 25 percent of questions were of the objective type. The theory part of the 10th exam is 80 points and practical or project work gets 20 points. For the 12th board exam, 30 points are awarded for practicals and 70 points for theory.
