An 18-year-old college girl was brutally murdered by a man in the Maharashtra city of Aurangabad on Saturday afternoon, police said. The incident took place near Deogiri College, a police official said.
Sharansingh Sethi, the accused, allegedly approached Sukhpreet Kaur alias Kashish (18) from behind and slit her throat while asking her ‘why don’t you love me’, he said. As Sethi then fled the scene, another girl who was with Kaur called the police and took her to the hospital. But she died during treatment, the official said. Kaur was a Bachelor of Business Administration student at Deogiri College. Police were looking for Sethi and further investigations are underway, the official added.
