Jaleel said an amount of Rs 17 crore was previously sanctioned to repair the Nizam era ZP schools in Aurangabad and about Rs 8 crore is now available.
As many as 1,578 classrooms of Zilla Parishad schools in Maharashtra’s Aurangabad district have tin roofs, said Lok Sabha MP Imtiaz Jaleel, demanding to convert these rooms into pucca (permanent) construction. This finding emerged in a survey of Zilla Parishad schools, he said.
“Repairs must be carried out at 726 locations in the schools. The secondary schools in the district need 105 extra classrooms. There are 1,578 classrooms where students sit under a zinc roof. These classrooms should be converted into pucca construction,” the Aurangabad MP said in a press release.
Jaleel said an amount of Rs 17 crore was previously sanctioned to repair the Nizam era ZP schools in Aurangabad and about Rs 8 crore is now available.
