A 4-year-old boy died on Saturday in Bhiwandi in Maharashtra’s Thane district after a marble slab fell on him from the wall of a school, a police official said.
The child was identified as Anand Kushwaha, who was playing near the school in the Tawre Compound area at the time, he said.
He was pronounced dead on arrival at a nearby hospital, the official said, adding that the child and his family had only come to live in the area nine weeks ago.
