She completed her post-graduation from Delhi University. After two failed attempts, Annapurna Garg cleared the UPSC Civil Service Examinations in 2016. She secured 68th All India Rank in the examinations.

She believes it helps you understand the depth of the issues that need to be studied. She also said it’s important to learn from your mistakes and never lie to yourself.
