The Ministry of Education is developing a National Curriculum Framework (NCF). This is part of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, under which the government plans to review the syllabus taught in schools and universities. While discussions are taking place here within ministries and other experts, the government is also asking for feedback from people on what they should include in the textbooks.
On Twitter, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said: “Developing a vibrant, dynamic, inclusive and futuristic National Curriculum Framework is essential for integrating cultural rootedness with a global outlook, ridding education of colonial hangovers and instilling a deeper understanding of sense of pride in our next generations.” He added: “calling on all citizens to participate in the Citizen Survey for NCF for developing #NayeBharatKaNayaCurriculum”
I appeal to all citizens to participate in the Citizen Survey for NCF for Development #NayeBharatKaNaya Curriculum.
A dynamic National Curriculum Framework in line with NEP 2020 will play a major role in achieving Viksit Bharat’s goal.
