The Education Department of the Tamil Nadu School has announced that it will start coaching classes for Class 11 and Class 12 students for National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination (NEET) from the third week of November.
At present, approximately 420 centers have been identified to provide coaching classes for students appearing before NEET. Students who are preparing for other competitive exams can also use this facility. Classes are taught in both English and Tamil and students can choose either language.
For the past two years, the department had organized a few low-key coaching sessions a few weeks before the NEET. But this year, the department is all set to provide extended exam preparation classes with full professional insight.
A senior official in the school education department told IANS that teachers working in the industry will be roped in and students will be provided with high-quality exam-oriented training programs that would help them pass the competitive exam.
A teacher from each school will act as the program coordinator. According to the School Education Department, 50 students would be selected for Class 12 students and the selection would be made based on the grades of the 11th class exam. About 20 students would be admitted for class 11 and selection. The selection of students takes place on the basis of the grades in the tenth standard.
The school education department said in the statement that classes would be held in person and the grades achieved by the students in the tests conducted in the classrooms would be recorded and recorded for assessment of the students’ progress.
