The MCC had completed the registration process on October 12. It was previously scheduled to end on October 11, but was later extended by a day. Candidates who had not filled a seat in any of the previous rounds of NEET PG 2023 counseling conducted by MCC or through state quota were allowed to register for the round of stray vacancies. The last date for completing choices and locking choices was October 13. The processing of the NEET PG counseling vacancy regarding seat allotment took place between October 13 and 14.
“The Choice Filling for the Stray Vacancy Round was delayed because many PG DNB institutes had not reported the candidates online,” MCC had said earlier. Moreover, the qualifying percentile for NEET PG 2023 counseling was reduced to ‘zero’ by the Ministry of Health before the Round 3 counseling process began. It has been decided to ensure that no medical seat of the PG becomes vacant. Nearly 2,000 medical PG seats will be vacant this year.
