A delegation from the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, the student wing of the BJP, met on Wednesday with Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya to request the National Eligibility Entrance Test, commonly known as NEET PG 2022. set. The meeting that took place in Delhi on Wednesday was also attended. by senior officials of the Union’s Health Department.
ABVP presented a memorandum to the Minister of Health and also requested the reopening of the NEET application window for students whose assigned seats had been cancelled. ABVP said such students should be given a day to complete their registration.

The six points raised by the delegation during the meeting regarding the extension of the exam date received positive feedback from Mandaviya, according to an ABVP release.
The student body hoped that an official announcement would soon be made regarding the extension of the NEET PG exam date. “Our delegation has mainly raised six important points for the Hon’ble Union Minister. The officials acknowledged that it is an important issue that needs to be addressed. So we are sure that these points will pave the way for the decision and that the students will get relief,” ABVP’s National Secretary General Nidhi Tripathi said after the meeting.
However, the Ministry of Health has not yet made any announcement regarding the possibility of a date extension for NEET PG 2022.
The NEET 2022 postgraduate exam is expected to be conducted on May 21. The aspirants have demanded an extension of 4 to 8 weeks in the dates, saying there is not enough time to prepare as NEET PG 2021 counseling and NEET PG 2022 exam clash.
Last week, the Supreme Court rejected a plea from NEET aspirants who asked for the exam to be postponed. The court rejected the plea, stating that any extension of the dates will cause unavailability of doctors and serious consequences for patient care. The court said an extension of the exam date would create chaos and uncertainty for a larger proportion of students who registered for the exam.
