The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) will conduct the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2022 on June 18. Candidates can apply online through the official NEST website — nestexam.in. The last date to submit applications is May 18th to midnight. Candidates will be able to download their admission tickets from the official NEST site from June 6.
The NEST 2022 exam will be a computer based test (CBT) and will be held in two sessions in multiple centers across India. The timing for the first session is from 9am to 12:30pm, while the timing for the second session is from 2:30pm to 6pm. Candidates will be assigned to one of two sessions.

NEST 2022: Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission to the integrated MSc programme, candidates must have been born on or after 1 August 2022. Candidates must also have passed the board exam class 12 in the science stream in the years 2020 or 2021. in 2022 are also eligible to apply. In addition, a total of a minimum of 60 percent in Class 12 board examination is required.
NEST 2022: How to apply?
Step – 1 Visit the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) official website
Step – 2 Now click on ‘Online Application’ on the homepage.
Step – 3 Then fill in all the basic details on the new page and register yourself.
Step – 4 An email will then be sent to your email address containing your login details. Use these credentials to log in to the homepage by clicking on ‘Click here to login’.
Step – 5 Now fill in all the necessary details and upload all the required documents. Also choose 5 random exam centers from the given options and press ‘Save and Next’.
Step – 6 Now proceed to pay the exam fee. The fee is Rs 1,200 for male, transgender candidates of the General, OBS and General (EWS) category. While the fee for all female candidates, redundant candidates from J&K category and SC, ST and PwD candidates is Rs 600.
Step – 7 Then click in the white box next to ‘I agree’ and then click on ‘Submit’.
Step – 8 Save your application form for future reference.

NEST 2022: exam pattern
The NEST is conducted online and consists of 4 sections of objective multiple choice questions (MCQs) with a total weight of 150 points. Each section is 50 points and contains subject-specific questions from biology, mathematics, physics and chemistry. In each section there will be a negative mark for incorrect answers to certain questions. The selection will be made on the basis of the merit list prepared by the NISER. When preparing the merit list, the three best scores from the four parts of the exam are taken into account.
