Now that the NEET medical and dental entrance exam is over, students are now looking at the best colleges to apply for. For those seeking admission into BDS courses or dental studies, the Ministry of Education has announced Indian rankings in which they assessed the colleges across India on various parameters including teaching, research and perception.
NIRF rankings for educational institutions in India were made public on Friday by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). According to this year’s ranking of Saveentha Institute of Medical and Technical Science, Chennai is the best dental college in India followed by the Manipal College of Dental College, Manipal.

Meanwhile, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi tops the ‘pharmacy’ category. Among the research category, IISc in Bengaluru topped the list, followed by IIT Madras and IIT Delhi.

Meanwhile, on July 17, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) conducted for aspirants to enter medical colleges was held. According to the responses from students and experts, NEET 2022 was more difficult compared to last year. In general, all sections had questions that required a deeper understanding of the topics. This year, NTA had extended the length of time and given an extra 20 minutes, but it also increased the frequency of statement-based questions that had to be read carefully. In the physics part, the students found questions with long calculations.

Manipal College of Dental Sciences, which ranked second in 2020, surpassed the Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences and took first place in 2021. The remaining dental colleges that took the top rankings were as follows.

During this year, the Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences was ranked 1st and received a score of 82.51 from the Ministry of Education. Meanwhile, Manipal College of Dental Sciences and Dr. DY Patil Vidyapeeth placed second and third respectively.
