Local police personnel, an explosives disposal squad, a canine squad and a SWAT team were immediately dispatched to the scene, he said.
”It was a challenge… All buildings on the school grounds were checked and no suspicious object was found. The situation is normal. We also searched the perimeter areas of the school grounds,” the police officer added.
As word of the bomb threat spread, panicked parents gathered outside the school and took their children home.
The school was evacuated and the fire brigade was informed about the threat around 08:00. A fire truck was rushed to the scene, a spokesman for the fire department said.
The Indian School at Sadiq Nagar in Delhi had received bomb threats twice – in April this year and in November 2022.
