The National Students Union of India (NSUI) protested outside the National Testing Agency’s office in Delhi on Thursday over alleged technical difficulties and mismanagement in JEE Main exams. The student wing of the congress party demanded an extra effort for students affected by the failure of the engineer entrance exam, Live Hindustan reported.
NSUI claimed that the students were unable to complete their papers on time due to technical difficulties at the exam center. They added that many students failed to appear in JEE Advanced despite obtaining the qualification.
The protesters sued NTA for errors in conducting the admission test and asked why the students should suffer from the mismanagement of the testing agency.

Earlier, some of the students had moved to the Supreme Court and demanded an additional attempt, citing irregularities and technical problems in the second session of JEE Main 2022. The students had claimed that the technical difficulties they faced during the exam were their performance and she should be compensated with an extra sitting time for the exam. However, the apex court rejected their plea.
A JEE Main aspirant had claimed that his answer sheets had been changed. The candidates’ father claimed that his son had been given two different answer sheets. He claimed that when his son downloaded the answer sheet on August 3, his son’s answers were different from the answers posted on the website on August 4.
The candidates had moved to the Delhi High Court due to a difference in the answer key.

The petitioner said he had tried 58 out of 75 questions and according to the answer sheet published on August 3, he scored 212 points in JEE Advanced. However, the next day, another answer sheet was published by NTA and his numbers were reduced to just 168. This pushed his rank behind 50,000 candidates.
Reports of mismanagement and chaos in JEE Advanced exams on August 28 also came from various parts of the country. One of these concerned candidates said she could not appear in JEE Advanced despite an admission card and a score of 99.07 percentile in JEE Main.
