The NTA is scheduled to conduct the UGC–NET June 2024 examination in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for 83 subjects in various cities across the country from August 21 to September 4, 2024.
It is important to note that the UGC NET June 2024 exam was held on June 18 in pen-and-paper format and in two shifts, but it was cancelled due to the NEET-UG debacle. The government said that the UGC had received certain inputs about the exams from the National Cyber Crime Threat Analytics Unit of the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C). These inputs prima facie indicate that the integrity of the above-mentioned exam might have been compromised. However, upon investigation, it was found that the paper was not leaked.
Last year, 9,45,918 candidates registered and 6,95,928 appeared for the December 2023 examination in 292 cities across the country. The examination was held between December 6 and 14 and the results were announced on January 17.
