The district administration of Jajpur in Odisha has dismissed seven government school teachers for extended absences.
The termination orders were issued by District Education Officer Ranjan Kumar Giri based on the collector’s decision.

The dismissed government school teachers in various blocks remained absent from their duties for years.
“They have not taken up their duties despite several notices being issued to them. That’s why they were taken out of service,” Giri said.
