Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday invited people, especially university students and young professionals who are keen on pursuing further education, to the G-20 University Connect Finale to be held on September 26 at Bharat Mandapam.
Bharat Mandapam recently hosted the G20 Summit.
Writing on LinkedIn, he said that the G-20 University Connect program has brought India’s youth together over the past year as the year-round initiative proved to be incredibly rewarding and yielded highly satisfying results. It showcased to the world how our youth have emerged as vibrant cultural envoys, forging lasting bonds with the G20 brotherhood, he said.
“It has also enabled the youth to know more about India’s G20 Presidency, the issues we worked on during our Presidency, instilling a spirit of collectivity towards our planet and preparing our youth to be active to be makers of a Viksit Bharat.” said the Prime Minister.

What initially started as a university program quickly expanded to include schools and colleges, reaching an even wider audience, he said.
A particularly notable event was the ‘Model G20 Meeting’, where students from twelve different countries, including ten G20 countries, came to discuss the theme ‘Youth for LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment)’, Modi said.
“During the special G-20 University Connect program, I would like to hear and extract the experiences of our Yuva Shakti. Their enriching journey will undoubtedly ignite inspiration among the youth of our nation. I especially appeal to all young people to join this unique initiative,” he said.
Talking about it in his Mann ki Baat broadcast earlier today, he said he will participate in this program and “communicate with our students”.
