The Staff Service Commission (SSC) released the application for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) exam on February 1. The SSC will hold the tier 1 computer exam in May. The registration process has started and the last date to fill the application form is March 7th on the official website at ssc.nic.in while the last date to make the online payment is March 8th.
The number of vacancies has not yet been published by the committee. The age limit for the positions is 18 to 27 years as of January 1, 2022, i.e. candidates born not before January 2, 1995 and no later than January 1, 2004 are eligible to apply. SSC CHSL 2022: Exam Pattern
The exam will be administered in three layers. Level 1 will have a computer based exam, Level 2 will have descriptive paper and Level 3 will be a skills or typing test. If necessary, the metric systems of weights and measurements can be used in the questionnaire. After the results have been announced, students cannot request a reassessment or reassessment.
Level 1 – Computer Based Research
Tier 1 paper is worth 200 points and is divided into four sections. Students are assessed on basic English skills, general intelligence, quantitative aptitude (basic math skills), and general awareness.
All four parts have 50 points each. The exam will be objective. For each correct answer the student receives 2 points and for each incorrect answer a negative score of 0.5.
Level 2 – Descriptive Paper
The paper will be 100 points and will be a handwritten exam. The duration of the exam will be one hour. The minimum qualifying rate will be 33 percent. Students can write the exam in English or Hindi according to their preference. However, students can choose one language and cannot write the paper in both languages at the same time. It will lead to a zero score.
Level 3 – Skill Test/Type Test
Tier 2 shortlisted candidates appear in tier 3 test. It will be conducted in cities where regional offices of the commission are located or as determined by the commission.

Level 1 – Computer Based Research
The English language: Find the mistake, fill in the blanks, synonyms, homonyms, antonyms, spellings, detect misspelled words, idioms and phrases, one word replacement, sentence correction, active, the passive voice of verbs, conversion to direct, indirect narration , shuffle of phrases, shuffle of phrases in a passage, close passage, understanding passage.
General intelligence: It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal types. The test includes questions on semantic analogy, symbolic operations, symbolic, number analogy, trends, figurative analogy, space orientation, semantic classification, venn diagrams, symbolic, number classification, inferences, figurative part subject (out of order), punched hole / pattern folding and unfolding, semantic sequences, figurative pattern folding and completion, number sequences, embedded figures, figurative sequences, critical thinking, problem solving, emotional intelligence, word formation, social intelligence, coding and decoding, numerical operations, any other subtopics.
Quantitative Suitability: Number systems, fundamental arithmetic operations, algebra and geometry, mensuration, trigonometry and statistical graphs.
General awareness: General awareness about the environment, current affairs, history, culture, the economy of India and its neighboring countries, general policy and scientific research.

Skill/typing test is mandatory for data entry operators and everyone must appear in it. However, Persons with Disabilities (PwD) who are unable to perform typing tests may pre-apply to the Committee to be exempted from the position of LDC/JSA and Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant.
