Now that several state governments have released the date sheets for the 2023 exams and the CBSE and CISCE are likely to announce the timetable by this month, students and their parents may be concerned. Congressman of Thiruvananthapuram Shashi Tharoor has asked everyone to stop judging their children based on exam grades alone. “We put too much emphasis on exams in India,” he said.
Tharoor shared a comment on the social media platform Twitter saying that it is not the right way to treat children, that it is not the right way to treat children. Among the students who sit for the exam, there is an artist who does not need to understand mathematics, there is an entrepreneur who does not care about history or English literature, a musician whose chemistry grades do not matter.
“If your child does get top grades, that’s great! But if he or she doesn’t, please don’t strip them of their confidence or dignity. Tell them it’s okay, it’s just an exam. They are made for much greater things in life. Tell them whatever you love and don’t judge them,” the note read.

Several social media users have commented on Tharoor’s post and several agree with him. “Super! Every human being has an innate talent in him/her, but it is ironic of our society that instead of focusing on the child’s talents we force our own mind on them, it is crucial that even adults use their talent understand and expand,” one user tweeted.
