The 2022-2023 academic year is set to begin with schools reopening on July 4, Suresh said in a circular.

Schools in Andhra Pradesh would be closed for summer holidays from May 6, School Education Commissioner S Suresh Kumar said here on Saturday. The 2022-2023 academic year is set to begin with schools reopening on July 4, Suresh said in a circular.
All exams in the 2021-2022 academic year would be completed on May 4 and the basic English assessment on May 5. registrations for the following year.
In 2021-22, schools in AP reopened for the academic year on August 16 due to the second wave of Covid-19. An academic calendar with 188 working days was established for the year. The summative (end-of-year) exams started on April 22 and would end on May 4.
Suresh instructed the regional joint directors and district education officials to take the necessary action according to the timelines.
