The government of Telangana has imposed administrative sanctions amounting to Rs 69.52 crore for the purchase and distribution of Adolescent Health Kits to girl students studying in government schools and colleges.
The kits, consisting of a zip-top bag, sanitary napkin and a water bottle, would be provided to female students studying in grades 8th through second year (12th standard) in government schools and colleges under the adolescent health program.
The expenditures will be met from NHM (National Health Mission) funds, the government said in a Nov. 16 order, adding that the Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare and the Mission Director (NHM) will take the necessary action.
