The government of Arvind Kejriwal is working diligently to transform the country’s education system and instill an entrepreneurial mindset in children, Delhi’s deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia said on Saturday. Sisodia addressed the Startup Summit 2022 in Pragati Maidan in Delhi.
In an interaction with entrepreneurs, the Deputy Prime Minister said: “In a country where nearly 40 crore people are unemployed or belong to the category who earn only half a dollar a day, I see a lot of opportunities for development because of young entrepreneurs. The work that entrepreneurs of this country today is nothing less than building a nation.”
He added that events like Startup Summit 2022 gave them the opportunity to network and thrive. This will also help boost the country’s economic growth, Sisodia said. “Whatever issues governments face, making India number one in the world should be their priority. The government of Kejriwal firmly believes in this. My heart is in entrepreneurship and I think this is what I was made to do. Interacting with entrepreneurs always inspires me to work harder for the nation,” the minister said.
Entrepreneurs will lead the nation on its way to becoming a superpower, he said. “The Delhi government is working around the clock to instill an entrepreneurial mindset in children. She has introduced an Entrepreneurship Mindset Curriculum (EMC) in schools for grades 9 to 12, where students learn entrepreneurial skills and have the opportunity to build their startup through a comprehensive component of the Business Blasters curriculum,” added Sisodia.
