Students called the School Education Department’s Umang Helpline for help with tobacco, porn, video games, and other addictions. Students complained that they were unable to focus on their studies due to addiction to cell phones, video games, and porn videos.
At least 10 percent of the 200 days on the helpline are about ways to deal with addictions. Many students also sought help getting out of the bad company of friends or coping with the feeling of rejection in love.
The Umang Helpline -14425 was started in 2020 by the MP School Education Department in partnership with UNICEF. The helpline even operates on Sundays and has received more than 1.92 lakh calls since its launch on January 13, 2020. students in the age group of 10 to 19. Students can call between 08:00 and 20:00 for professional guidance. The helpline was introduced with the aim of helping students deal with depressive feelings.

The helpline also helps students deal with their studies and results.
The helpline was started in 2020 and had six counselors working in two shits. The counselor works in shifts and rotations. The counseling service is also open on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. At any given time, six lines are activated at any one time. So far since then 1.92 lakh calls have been received on the helpline.
The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education had previously released the results of the class 10 and 12 exams in April. The board recorded a pass rate of 72.72 in class 12 while the pass rate in class 10 was 59.54 percent.
Out of the total number of students who passed the MP board class 12 exams, 325572 students got the first division, 130952 got the second division and 542 got the third. Pragati Mittal with 494 points in the Science stream emerged as the top performer in Class 12 results.
