The University Grants Commission (UGC) has directed Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to encourage students to participate in the ‘YUVA PRATIBHA – Singing and Painting Talent Show’. MyGov.in in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture launched the ‘YUVA PRATIBHA – Singing and Painting Talent Show’ on May 10 under the auspices of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The idea behind this talent show is to promote the country’s rich heritage, music and culture on a national level by identifying and recognizing new and young talent in fields such as music and the arts.
YUVA PRATIBHA – Talent Show Signing
The signatories event is open to all Indian citizens. Those interested can participate in three genres: folk songs, patriotic songs and contemporary songs. The entry to participate in the singing program must be submitted online until July 20 by logging into innovateindia.mygov.in. Entries submitted through any other mode will not be considered for further rounds.
Entrants must record a video while they sing and submit their entry via YouTube (link not provided), Dropbox, Google Drive, and other channels. They must ensure that the link is also accessible. If access to the preview video is not available, the entry will be automatically disqualified. Winners also get the chance to perform in front of celebrity judges.
Talent event signing awards
1st Winner: Rs 1,50,000 along with trophy and certificate.
-2nd winner: Rs 1,00,000 with trophy and certificate.
-3rd winner: Rs 50,000, trophy and certificate.
About 12 participants will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs 10,000 each.
YUVA PRATIBHA – Painting Talent Show
For the painting competition, participants must be between the ages of 18 and 40. All entries must be submitted on the MyGov portal in JPG/JPEG/PNG/PDF format along with a brief description of the painting. The deadline to register for the competition is July 20. In the YUVA Pratibha – Painting Talent Hunt, the different themes are Heritage & Cultural, Valor & Patriotism, Nature & Environment and Public Heroes & Leaders.
Painting Talent Awards Event
-1st Winner: Rs 1,00,000 along with trophy and certificate.
-2nd winner: Rs 75,000 with trophy and certificate.
-3rd winner: Rs 50,000, trophy and certificate.
A total of 17 contestants will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs 10,000 each.
