The descriptive section consists of questions worth 50 points, while the remaining 20 points are allocated to the objective multiple choice (MCQ) section
The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has announced that the secondary school (class 10) exams will have a modified question pattern. According to the revised pattern, the questionnaire will be divided into two parts. The descriptive section consists of questions worth 50 points, while the remaining 20 points are assigned to the Objective Multiple Choice (MCQ) section.
Students must answer these questions by filling out an OMR (optical mark recognition) sheet. The OMR sheet is graded using computers and making mistakes in marking answers may result in the entire sheet being invalid or rejected.
The board has now published a sample OMR sheet with instructions on how to fill it out to answer objective questions in the exam.

UPMSP Class 10 board exams: Instructions
– Students may only use blue or black ballpoint pens to mark the correct answer on the OMR sheet.
– To answer the question, one must completely color the circle with the chosen option that corresponds to the question number. Remember to only fill in within the edge of the circle.
– Do not overwrite or cut any option. Do not use a whitener to erase incorrect answers as this may result in the answer sheet being rejected.
– Do not make any markings on the OMR sheet other than erasing the circles.
– Do not fill in only one option for any of the questions, because there is only one correct answer.
-You can view the sample OMR sheet and instructions in the official notice published on the board’s website at upmsp.edu.in.
