Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) marked the new year by releasing 212 vacancies for the posts of superintendent and junior assistant on New Year's Eve. The application window opens today and closes on January 31. Interested candidates must be at least 18 years old at the time of the registration closing date.
Eligibility and Qualifications
For the position of Superintendent, the candidate must be a maximum of 30 years old. Qualification requirement includes a bachelor's degree from a recognized university or equivalent. In addition, the applicant must have practical knowledge of computer applications such as Windows, MS-Office, dealing with large databases and the Internet.
Recruitment for this salary level 6 position will be based on qualification in all three rounds. Level 1 will include an MCQ-based preliminary screening examination, while Level 2 will consist of an objective type (OMR-based) and a descriptive written main examination.
Thirdly, there is a typing speed qualifying round where the candidate must have a typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on the computer. Meanwhile, age relaxation is allowed above the age limit for specific categories.
For the position of Junior Assistant with Pay Level 2, the candidate must be between 18 and 27 years old. Qualification requirement implies a 12th class or equivalent certificate from a recognized board or university. The preliminary screening examination will be based on MCQ followed by a typing speed requirement which is qualifying in nature.
While inviting direct recruitment on the basis of “All India Competitive Examination”, the notification dated December 31 states: “The selected candidates will be posted in any of the offices of the Board of Directors i.e. Regional Offices, Center of Excellence/ACCPD Rai Bareilly.”
It adds, “Currently, the regional offices are located at Ajmer, Allahabad, Bhubaneshwar, Bhopal, Bengaluru, Chennai, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Delhi, Dubai, Guwahati, Noida, Patna, Panchkula, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, Vijayawada and ACCPD Raebareli. “
Outstanding aspiring candidates appearing in the final year or whose final examination result is awaited will not be considered as eligible applicants.
