The West Bengal School Education Department will fill all the vacant positions of teachers in a prompt manner, State Minister Bratya Basu said in Tuesday’s meeting. “We are committed to providing quality education to children in state-run and supported schools. Our students make us proud with their achievements in the country. So when recruiting, we are careful so that there is no compromise on quality,” Basu said during a question-answer session in the House.
As instructed by the Prime Minister, the department is taking every step to “fill all vacant posts of teachers in the state-run and supported schools in a prompt manner”. Basu said authorities will get help from the department’s portal. to see if deserving students have been placed in schools near their residence or in the appropriate district.
