The results of the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations (WBJEE) 2022 are likely to be released next week. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check their results on the official website at wbjeeb.in. Students need their application number and date of birth as stated on the admission cards to access the result.
The board had previously released the provisional answer key. Students were allowed to object until May 8 by paying a fee of Rs 500 per question to lodge objections. The objections expressed will be studied and if necessary changes will be made to the final answer key and the results will be prepared accordingly. WBJEEB will release the merit list based on the final result only.

WBJEE 2022: Calculating Results Markers
Candidates can calculate their probable marks before the results using the answer key released by WBJEEB. According to the marking scheme, the Physics and Chemistry sections each contain 40 questions and Mathematics contains 75 questions. Each paper has three categories.
In the first category, one point is awarded for each correct answer, while a fourth point is deducted for each incorrect attempt. In category 2, the candidates receive two points for each correct answer and one and a half points for incorrect answers. There is no negative marking in category 3.

This year, the exam was held in pen-and-paper mode on April 30 at several exam centers across the state. Last year the results were announced on August 6. In total, 99.5 percent of the students had passed the exam. Panchojanyo Dey led the 2021 WBJEE, followed by Soumyajit Dutta and Bratin Mandal who secured second and third place respectively.
