WBPSC RECRUITMENT 2023: Vacancy Details
The WBPSC recruitment drive is being conducted to fill a total of 300 vacancies in the state. Among the posts on offer, 102 vacancies are for the unreserved category, 67 seats are reserved for the Scheduled Caste (SC) category and 19 vacancies are for the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category. In addition, there are 43 vacancies for the OBC-A (Non-Creamy Layer) and 29 vacancies for the OBC-B (Non-Creamy Layer). For the candidates for the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories, there are 14 and 26 vacancies respectively.

WBPSC RECRUITMENT 2023: ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Age limit: Candidates applying for the post should note that the maximum age limit for regular medical graduates is limited to 36 years. Candidates who have postgraduate medical qualifications can apply up to the age of 40.
Educational qualifications: Candidates eligible for WBPSC Medical Officer Recruitment are candidates with medical qualifications listed in the First and Second Schedules or Part II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council (IMC) Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and registration as doctors in Western America. WBPSC RECRUITMENT 2023: APPLICATION FEE
For the unreserved category, candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 210 at the time of registration. However, residents of West Bengal belonging to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe candidates and Benchmark Disability Persons (PwBD) with physical disability of 40 percent and above are exempted from payment of the fee.
