Claiming that his government has improved the condition of government schools and hospitals in the national capital, AAP national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Sunday that his party wants to replicate it in Haryana as well. He also attacked the BJP-led Haryana government over the alleged leakage of recruitment test questionnaires for government jobs.
During his party’s first state-level meeting here, Kejriwal sought popular support for his party in the municipal body polls next month. The vote in 28 state municipal committees and 18 state councils will take place on June 19.
He also spoke about eliminating corruption in Delhi and Punjab, citing the example of Vijay Singla’s resignation from the Punjab cabinet for allegedly indulging in corrupt practices. We have ended corruption in Delhi and Punjab and will end it in Haryana, Kejriwal said, seeking popular support for the 2024 state assembly polls.
Kejriwal also thanked the farmers of Haryana and Punjab for their fight against the Center over the three agricultural laws that have now been repealed. Kejriwal, who is from Haryana, said: I feel good when people call me ‘Haryana ka lal’. Haryana is my janam bhoomi.
He promised 24-hour electricity in the state as delivered in Delhi. Targeting Khattar’s government over unemployment, Kejriwal asked the meeting how many jobs the BJP government had gotten in the state. He claimed that his government in Delhi has given jobs to 12 lakh people in the past seven years and has a plan to give 20 lakh more jobs over the next five years.
