Woxsen University, in Telangana, announced Monday it will set up one of “South Asia’s largest” Bloomberg Finance Labs with 20 Bloomberg Terminals to make students unfavorable to the financial markets.
According to the university, the Bloomberg Terminal is software that seamlessly integrates real-time and historical data, market news and analytics to help business and finance professionals around the world make informed investment decisions. The Bloomberg Terminal also offers electronic commerce for every asset class, research and a global network to communicate securely and reliably, the university’s press release claims.
“The presence of a Bloomberg Finance Lab in every university aids in the institution’s exponential growth by helping students learn the fundamentals of financial markets. With the Bloomberg Finance Lab, the university also aims to foster alignment between businesses and academia, as industry practitioners bring in the expertise to provide insight into the world of global equity trading,” said Dr. Raul Rodriguez, VP, Woxsen University.
According to the university, the Bloomberg Finance Lab will serve as a resource for both students and professors. It will further enable students to become familiar with tools used in financial services, strengthening theory in the classroom, while allowing professors to use advanced data and analytics at the Bloomberg Terminal to advance their own research.
