Indians were overjoyed after the documentary ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ won the Oscar in the Best Documentary Short Film category at the 95th Academy Awards. As wishes and admirations pour in, popular dairy brand Amul also celebrated its historic Oscar win in its own way.
Amul is particularly known for creating unique images and posters on popular topics around the world. Following tradition, Amul shared an adorable scribble celebrating the documentary’s triumph that shows an unbreakable bond between two abandoned elephants and their caretakers.
The doodle features the cartoon versions by director Kartiki Gonsalves and producer Guneet Monga. An elephant and the iconic Amul girl also feature in the doodle. The post was captioned, ”The Elephant Whisperers wins Best Documentary Short Film at Oscars!” The doodle was captioned, ”Haathi Mere Saathi. Amul Jumbo Taste.”

Since the doodle was shared, it has garnered more than 82,000 likes and more than 50 comments. One user wrote: ”Always looking forward to seeing Amul’s sketches.” Another commented: ”Very nice and cute illustration.” A third added: ”This is an Oscar award winning ad, well done .” A fourth said: “You always bring the best!”
Guneet Monga also responded to the adorable post, saying, “So Epic!!! Thank you.” Prior to this, she had shared her excitement on social media and said she is still “shivering” from the achievement.
The Netflix documentary conquered ”Haultout”, ”How do you measure a year?”, ”The Martha Mitchell effect” and ”Stranger at the Gate” to take the trophy.
The Elephant Whisperers, set in Mudumalai National Park is the story of an orphaned elephant calf named Raghu who is cared for by Bomman and Belli, an indigenous couple. The documentary not only celebrates the bond that develops between them, but also the natural beauty of their surroundings. The Elephant Whisperers was released on Netflix in December 2022.
