Anand Mahindra is widely followed on Twitter and often shares interesting content to entertain and inform the users. His timeline is a joy to watch. On Saturday, the industrialist shared a video of a “futuristic mobility machine” – a jet suit. He said it could greatly aid the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) in its rescue operations.
The video Mr Mahindra shared on Twitter shows a person wearing a “jet suit” carrying a human being from the ground to a hilly terrain. The suit consists of a jet engine and controllers on his hands. The video was originally shared by Machine Pix. According to the user, “Jet Suit Paramedic” is a project of “collaboration between Gravity Industries and the Great North Air Ambulance Service (which) has resulted in an unparalleled test of human flight, pushing the boundaries of emergency response.” The human flight took place in the Lake District in the United Kingdom.
“Another futuristic mobility machine that won’t be a mass commuting device any time soon, but will have powerful niche applications. The Jetsuit could transform rescue operations. Would love to see it deployed by @NDRFHQ,” the post’s caption reads.

“Great…could be a lifesaver for rescue operations in geographically remote hillside locations,” said one user.
A second person said, “All right sir… This would be very helpful for our #Indian army patrolling the high mountains in #kargil, #lehladakh”
“Agree! Accidents, especially in inaccessible terrain, during flash floods, cloudbursts, fires in high-rise buildings, and in locations where adventure sports are offered, such as bungee jumping, zip lines, tourist spots with ziplines, and many others,” said another user.
A fourth person said, “I wish it could work on Siachen. Our soldiers would get so much relief.”
