Anand Mahindra related, showed two oxen pulling a cart unaccompanied.
Industrialist Anand Mahindra shared an image of the “original Tesla vehicle” from India that was fully self-driving and did not require navigation assistance from Google Maps. And he has solicited Tesla founder and CEO Elon Musk’s response to the post.
The defining features Tesla is proud of are cost efficiency, an electric vehicle and its self-driving features. The image shared by Lord Mahindra showed two oxen pulling a cart unaccompanied while the people on board slept during the journey.
“Original Tesla car. No need for Google Map, no fuel to buy, no pollution, FSD (fully self-driving). Set home to the workplace. Relax, take a nap, reach your destination,” the image reads.
“Back to the future… @elonmusk,” wrote the Mahindra Group chairman.

On Mr Mahindra’s post, several people related how they grew up watching oxen pulling carts in their villages.
A user shared a video showing oxen pulling a cart without anyone sitting on it. But it seemed as if the animals knew where they were going.

“We had one at home. My father kept the bull very healthy. He used to spend a lot of money to keep them healthy,” says another user.

While not many people brought up the issue of animal cruelty, one user also casually tried to refer to the issue, calling those who complained about the bull cruelty “awake”
But in today’s world the vigil would have lamented the atrocities on the bull! †

Another user recalled the days when bullock carts were in use, saying they had lost two buffalo while the animals were grazing. Even searching the neighboring villages yielded no results. Finally, after a few days, the animals came back on their own.
Yes, those were the days. We (we children) had lost 2 buffalo when V took a herd of them to graze (during school time).
Parents also tried to have them searched in neighboring villages and gave up. After a day or 2 they came back on their own????????????— Vishwa Kannadiga (@OzVish1) Apr 24, 2022
When bullock carts were in widespread use, people trained the animals to follow directions and also to identify the route. Once trained, these animals would travel the route alone, unaccompanied. While slow, these modes of transport were hugely cost effective and also one of the few available in early times.
