Apple unveiled its highly anticipated iPhone 15 series at its ‘Wonderlust’ launch event on Tuesday. The Cupertino-based company introduced 4 new iPhones – iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max – along with the new Apple Watch series and AirPods Pro with USB-C functionality.
When the event ended, it sparked discussions on social media with people talking about the price of the phone in India, its features and Apple’s decision to use USB Type-C technology for its new models. Needless to say, microblogging site Some users even shared old videos of Apple CEO Tim Cook in an attempt to make sarcastic comments about the company’s late adoption of USB-C charging technology.

Returning to the launch event, sustainability was one of the key themes this year, as Apple claimed it is using even more recycled metals in its devices and that some of its new smartwatches are now carbon neutral.

In terms of design, iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus have received an essential upgrade in terms of display. The new iPhone 15 series borrows a number of features from the iPhone 14 Pro series, such as Dynamic Island, A16 Bionic processor and the primary 48-megapixel camera. However, other pro features such as the 120 Hz refresh rate and the telephoto camera are still reserved for the Pro models.
The iPhone 15 starts at Rs. 79,900, while the iPhone 15 Plus starts at Rs. 89,900, both with 128 GB base storage. The phone can be pre-ordered from September 15 and will be available for purchase from September 22. The iPhone 15 Pro, on the other hand, starts at Rs. 1,34,900 for 128GB storage, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max starts at Rs. 1,59,900 for 256GB storage.
