Ms. Souza poses in front of her artwork.
Google offices around the world are known to make a bold impression when it comes to design. The IT giant tries to be an innovative and fun company that people want to work for, and the offices are also designed accordingly. Recently, an artist shared a glimpse of her beautiful artwork at Google’s Gurugram office. The post has now gone viral and many people on the internet congratulated her on the achievement.
Alicia Souza attended the unveiling of the Pixel 8 series at Google’s Gurugram headquarters and said she took up the project a year ago. In the post, she included videos of the artwork and a close-up photo of herself in the elevator with her design on the back.
In the caption, she wrote, “A year ago I had made 8 panels for the office elevators of @googleindia Gurgaon. It was a project with a super tight deadline, but it was so much fun to do! My goal was that every time you entered an elevator, there was something to be found in the drawing.”
Ms. Souza continued: I’m glad I was told that the little bastard I drew on one character was noticed and appreciated. I finally got to see the panels when I went for the Pixel8 launch and was soooo excited (and shy). Thanks to everyone who said nice things and forced me to take a photo while trying to do it inconspicuously.”
Since being shared, her post has been viewed more than 17,000 times.
“Omg! This is sooooo good! Proud of you!” said one user.
“You look beautiful,” another person commented.
A third said: “I love your work.”
“Yes, I saw them in the Gurgaon office and fell in love instantly!” another user commented.
“This is so good. I’m sure it would brighten the day for everyone who gets in the elevator every time,” said one.
