Yoga is not only good for your physical well-being, it also helps to strengthen your mental health. Yoga requires practice and acing needs core strength, agility and balance. But have you ever wondered what it’s like to do yoga in space? European Space Agency astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti can be seen in a new viral video performing a difficult yoga pose without gravity.
Ms. Cristoforetti can see different yoga poses pop up by following an instructor from Cosmic Kids – a mindfulness platform for kids. The astronaut wears non-gravity elastic bands. In the 15-second clip, she performs an eagle-eyed pose by balancing her body while holding the pose criss-cross.
“Yoga in weightlessness? Done! It’s a little tricky, but with the right poses and some creative freedom, you can do it,” reads the post’s caption.
