Internet users praised the stranger for his kind gesture.
Many of us tend to lose a lot of our belongings when we are outside. Whether it's house keys, wallets or even mobile phones, we all have or know someone who has lost things. Often there are no chances of recovery. However, there have also been cases where people have gone out of their way to help the owner find their lost belongings. An example of this was shared by a social media user who dropped his wallet on the busy Nagenahalli main road. The user narrated how a stranger went out of his way to return his lost wallet, which contained his driver's license, cards and Rs 2,000 cash.
“Last night I dropped my bag on the busy main road of Nagenahalli. I didn't realize I had dropped it until someone called this evening and said he had found my bag. Inside was my DL, cards and 2k cash,” wrote the user on X (formerly Twitter).
“We met at a milestone on the main road of Nagenahalli. He handed me the bag and asked me to check the money and the cards were intact. I thanked him profusely for the gesture and asked him how he found my contact number. He said that he was trying to find my contact Since yesterday and when he finally searched in his bag he found the banknote with my number on it,” he wrote while sharing a photo of the stringer.

When the man asked the stranger why he was giving his wallet back, he said, “Money we earn doesn't stay with us, what's the use of someone else's money,” according to the tweet.
“He knew the value of DL and other cards and he didn't want me to suffer. He wanted nothing in return. The world still has people with conscious, noble intentions. All is not lost. Meet Rameshanna who opened my wallet “, the user concluded his post.

“Kudos to this man, his parents, circle of friends and neighborhood. It all matters, and these good deeds come as natural instincts,” one user wrote. “Treat such humble people well so that they continue to do positive deeds. I remember being questioned by wallet owners when I tried to reach them through numbers from a small diary in a bag with DL cards, cards. No cash because the pickpocket dumped it. The person I didn't even thank me,” another recalled.
“Hats off to this gentleman,” said a third user. “Your post made my day. In a world where we are forced to fear our neighbors, the fact that a fellow human being finds you and returns your belongings makes him such a wonderful person. Sending a prayer for his good health and happiness always. Stay blessed,” said a fourth.
