In recent months, Reddit has become a popular platform for employees to share their work struggle and worries in the workplace. Various subreddits have emerged where employees share their stories anonymously and also make contact with others who face similar challenges. Now a woman recently went on the platform to share about a disturbing experience after a recruiter for a personal assistant job in Noida, who submitted inappropriate requests during their chat. In her post, entitled “I'm wrong because I crossed this?”, The woman shared a screenshot of the WhatsApp chat with the recruiter.
Initially the conversation between the two started with a salary investigation, where the applicant asked: “In hand or CTC is there room for negotiation?” However, the exchange took a disturbing turn when the recruiter responded with: “If you don't mind, can you send a full photo?”

Despite the candidate who rejects the request, the recruiter continued to push and asked for her Instagram profile to “show your personality for PA profile”. During the conversation, the woman maintained her professionalism. “My Instagram profile is private. May I ask why is that relevant?” she said. Instead, she also offered to answer questions in a formal interview.
The woman added in the posting of the post: “applied for a job in Noida in the role of a personal assistant. The wage is good, but the person/recruiter is extremely creepy. I am pretty sure that this is not the industrial standard. Before this convo he even asked me! This is so discouraging.”

Since the shared, the post has become viral, which activates a wave of reactions. “Post on LinkedIn .. Tag de B *** Ard and the company. He probably did it before and he will do it again,” wrote a user.
“100% crawl and unprofessional. Don't even bother to answer,” noted someone else.
“If HR is completely unacceptable behavior. Please report them,” said a third user. “Please place it on LinkedIn and spread the consciousness. This B *** Ard and his colleagues who promote his behavior must realize the seriousness of their actions. They really think they can get away from this and there would be no consequences. The other innocent souls would also save the message,” suggested another.
