A first -year student of Delhi has fueled a discussion online after she has shared her frustration about not being able to find a suitable internship, even though it is a university stopper. In her position, the student revealed as Bisma Fareed that she has more than 50 certificates, 10-plus medals and 10-plus trophies. She is currently following a bachelor in English awards from Hansraj College in Delhi. Despite her skills and figure, however, she is unable to land an internship. “I am a winner, and I can't do an internship,” wrote Mrs. Fareed in her post because she admitted that it took a while to accept that “skills matter more than markings”.
“All my professors and teachers, and family members said: Focus on your studies! Padhai Kaam Aayegi, Ye Nhi! (Studies will help you, not all this),” wrote the student of Delhi University. In reality, however, she said that companies are not looking for students who can recite answers because they are looking for those who can deliver work. “Companies don't want to hire toppers without skills in addition to learning Rote, but people who are skilled in a skill with decent figures,” she wrote.
“You see, I don't ask you to burn your books away and throw your backpacks away, the only thing I ask you to take up a skill, practice as a habit, control and you will go behind you immediately!” Mrs. Fareed added.

“Brands in competitive exams do and help you to get jobs, or at least help you to go into the interview space for the job, Rest clearly depends on your posture and skills. Brands up to 12th Standard help you in some cases with brutal competition such as IIM/ MBB interviews. So yes, good figures do.
“Yes, degrees and certificates are important in the beginning, especially for interviews, but in the long term it is your skills that are the most important. Unfortunately, schools and colleges still do not focus much on that,” added one.
