Instead of brushing it off, as most users would, Mr. Kaushik turned it into an opportunity for playful banter. He shared a screenshot of the notification on can have lunch together.”
Hello @zomatoCan you please tell Shefali that I am also on leave, and she can let me know that if Akansha has no plans today, we can have lunch together. pic.twitter.com/XLXioWtydz

Zomato recently made headlines for a Chief of Staff vacancy where the selected candidate had to pay Rs 20 lakh to Feeding India, the company's non-profit initiative, and forgo a salary for the first year. The unusual terms sparked criticism online, with many accusing CEO Deepinder Goyal of exploiting candidates.
Amid the backlash, Arnav Gupta, a former technical head of Zomato, defended Mr Goyal. Mr. Gupta in an X-post shared his experience of working with Mr. Goyal and called it an unparalleled opportunity. He argued that the role that offered learning was worth much more than Rs 20 lakh, especially for those who aspire to a career in management consulting or strategy. He also pointed out that most MBA programs in India charge similar fees but do not provide comparable real-world exposure.
